Samāpatti ETH 4hr Strategy Backtest

Currently in Forward Testing, the Samāpatti ETH 4hr Strategy by River Algos has had the following Backtest results

The above Backtest is on KRAKEN:ETHUSD which goes back to mid 2015, with no Commission, and Initial Capital of $1000

With Commission set to 0.072 (Binance fees of 0.036% x2 for Taker In and Out)

With 0.1% to cover both Fees and Slippage, a commonly used number in Backtesting. I hope Forward Testing will give a better idea as to slippage

Jan 1st 2018–1st Jan 2021 with 0.1% for Fees and Slippage

Jan 1st 2020 — Jan 1st 2021 with 0.1% for Fees and Slippa

2015: 7th Aug 2015–5th Jan 2016 (when open trade closed). All annual results are with 0.1% to cover Fees and Slippage

2016: 6th Jan 2016–7th Jan 2017

2017: 8th Jan 2017–16th Jan 2018

2018: 17th Jan 2018–31st Dec 2018

2019: 1st Jan 2019–31st Dec 2019

2020: 1st Jan 2020–1st Jan 2021

I’m an ex-pat full time Crypto bot coder, bot investor, and former Theravadan Buddhist monk in Thailand. I’ve been working on Bitcoin strategies using Pine script for 3 years. Samāpatti is my first available fully automated strategy!

While the Backtest has had extraordinary results before fees and slippage of 93,586,643% over 332 trades since mid-2015 with a 43.98% winrate and 3.26 Profit Factor, actual results in forward testing usually do not match such success! However, the current Forward Test has had 138.7% gains in a month and a half.

This Forward Test is Invite Only and may run up to 3 months.
